Korma (Natural)
High in the celebrated Guji zone, specifically within the lush highlands of Hambela, lies the village of Korma. This is coffee in its most ancestral form, grown by smallholders in "garden" plots where the trees flourish under the canopy of ancient indigenous forests.
Because this coffee is Natural Processed, the cherries are dried slowly on raised African beds. This allows the fruit to raisin around the bean, infusing the seed with an incredible intensity of flavor and a heavy, jammy texture that is a hallmark of the Hambela terroir.
The profile is fragrant, exotic, and tea-like with notes of apricot, strawberry and milk chocolate
It is a quintessential Ethiopian cup that’s vibrant, complex, and deeply rooted in the very birthplace of coffee.
